In this blog post – we wanted to update you on many of the in-process and planned activities underway at some of our valued partners.  In some instances they’re expanding facility footprint, and in others, they’re bringing on new machinery or additional capabilities – that we know we’ll be able to leverage on your behalf.

Ohio Steel (OSI) – Pipe and Custom Rigid Extrusion is adding a new Krauss Maffei high output 75 mm extruder with complete optimized downstream including spray tanks and 3-belt puller.

Electro General Plastics – Custom Vacuum Forming continues to expand their capability with the addition of a state-of-the-art MAAC 4×6 rotary thermoforming machine.  This equipment will provide more precise control with less operator effort, while increasing our capacity.

20/20 Custom Molding – Structural Foam, Gas Assist, and Ultra High Tonnage Injection Molding is adding two 3,000-ton high pressure machines and one 8,000-ton high pressure machine to its 225,000-sqaure-foot Holiday City plant this year and into 2022.  Expansion also continues at the Bluffton, Indiana plant.

Patwin – Cellular PVC Extrusion is adding two new high output lines with Krauss Maffei twin and Davis Standard single screw extruders.  Both will utilize Greiner downstream equipment, with one line being wide format for up to 2 ft. wide profile or large multistrand production.

Moore Industries – Injection Molding is expanding the plant once again with an 18,000 sq. ft. addition, and raising the roof on the oldest section of 6,000 sq. ft. to allow continuous crane rails and expanded mezzanine office space.  Five new Fanuc robots have been purchased to allow for continued automation growth.

Blow Molded Solutions – Large Part Custom Blow Molding has new equipment coming online in 2022 that will include 50, 35, and 10 lb. single head machines along with a twin 15 lb. machine.  Production will also be expanded into the 188,000 sq. ft. space that was purchased several years ago.

Omico – Custom Blow Molding – TPE Materials and Automotive Applications is adding additional automation, robotic cutting stations, and machine vision to further improve operations.

Hedstrom – Rotational Molding is expanding the use of automation and robotic work cells, in their commitment to continually improve outcomes for customers.

We’re confident that these new initiatives further position PRI to act as the sole source subject matter expert you need for successful parts and assembles projects now – and into the future.
